"If your car is used for producing assessable income then you can include car washing (Vehicle Detailing) if you use the logbook or actual expenses methods to calculate your deduction."

The Logbook method is a way of claiming vehicle detailing as a business expense. The method can be used by tradespeople, sole traders and small business owners who don't have the time to do their own vehicle detailing. The Logbook method is an Australian accounting term in which a taxpayer can claim expenses incurred on income-producing properties (such as vehicles) and deduct the costs from their income tax return.
This means that you will get more back tax time than you would otherwise.
"If you're using the Cents per kilometre method you won't be able to claim vehicle detailing as the rate incorporates; insurance, maintenance, repairs and fuel costs. You can’t add these expenses on top of the rate when you work out your deduction using Cents per kilometre method." - Source ATO
When you use either method you'll need to keep records and receipts for the ATO (Australian Taxation Office) you can do this online using free or paid record keeping applications.
If you've used our services you can simply ask for a printout of your invoice or have us send you a digital copy for tax and or personal reasons.
